October 12th 2011

On October 12th the school will be celebrating the foundation of the school at our Commemoration services. It’s an important day in the school’s calendar and we’re delighted this year to welcome an old boy of the school John Waite, brother of Terry Waite, to be our speaker. John works for the BBC and as a freelance journalist. We look forward to him sharing his experiences with us.

The Comedy Prom’ on Friday 30th September saw lots of new talent emerge. Over 40 boys performed sketches and musical items. Mr Lonsdale reported that the evening was a brilliant success and an amazing array of new talent was on display across the evening.

The next opportunity to see our boys perform is just before half term on 18th and 19th October when Year 9 students will be taking on the challenge of an abridged version of Macbeth. Tickets available from school.
