So we were woken at 7.30 by the teachers knocking on our doors. Some of us actually slept through it… and the thumping on the door… and the bedroom phones ringing… and our mobiles! Eventually we all made it to breakfast. Bread, croissant and pain au chocolate with butter and jam, coffee and juice. It is pouring with rain right now so we might get a bit wet in Belgium. We’ll let you know later. Au Revoir.

We were right. It’s raining des chats et des chiens! But Bruges is a very pretty town whatever the weather. There are lots of shops selling what Bruges is famous for, namely chocolates and lace as well as dolls and Christmas goodies.

There were lots of horse drawn traps taking tourists around the cobbled streets.

At the end of the visit we went on the ice rink in the town square and ice skated which was a lot of fun.

Hats were also a popular purchase from the market stalls. Here some of the lads are modelling a selection of them for you. Enjoy.

Eventually we headed back to Lille, cold and wet but happy. A last chance to spend some money at the markets and a ride on the rather impressive Ferris wheel. Night night Britain.
