Iceland Geography Tour – 2 DAYS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s only 48 hours to go until the beginning of our Icelandic expedition. The excitement has definitely kicked in and preparations are well under way!

It seems like the teachers as well as the students around the Geography department are as excited as each other to get away from the classrooms and typical English weather, and explore what could be considered the hub of Geography.

We know that we’re excited to relax in the Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa where Icelanders and tourists alike go to wind down after a packed day of exploring the local landscape and beautiful vistas.

There is also the opportunity to explore glaciers, volcanoes and geysers, including the infamous Eyjafjllajokull which managed to stop air traffic for months in 2010- a truly once in a lifetime experience.

All that’s keeping us now between Sandbach and Iceland is 10 hours of lessons. The countdown begins.
