Last week’s Armistice Day assembly was a very dignified and fitting tribute – students were exemplary in the manner in which they conducted themselves. The 100 year commemoration of the start of the war was poignantly remembered with an extraordinary and powerful drama and poetry production ‘the Lost Voices of WW1.’ My thanks to John Lonsdale and the cast of 30 students for giving us such a memorable evening.

The votes have all been counted and ‘Representatives’ for the next layer of the School Council have been elected from every form! Senate members run the Representatives meetings for their year group; the first being held recently. It was really impressive to see how the students have supported each other and I look forward to working with them to drive forward improvements across the school.

Congratulations to our newly formed table tennis team. In their first U16 competition, playing against much older opposition, they were runners up and go on to the regional finals. Well done!
